Our Story

How We Fell in Love

It began with a spilled wine glass and a sheepish apology at a Montmartre gallery opening. What followed was a three-hour conversation that neither of us wanted to end — and neither of us has since.

Over six years we have explored cobblestone streets at midnight, argued about the best croissant in Paris, built a home filled with books and jazz records, and discovered in each other the truest kind of companionship. On June 20th, we make it official — and we want you there.

The Bride

Amelie Laurent

Born in Lyon and raised with a passion for beauty in all its forms, Amelie studied architecture in Paris before joining a boutique firm on the Left Bank. She sculpts spaces the way she sculpts moments — with intention, warmth, and an eye for what endures. Outside of work she paints watercolours, hunts for vintage novels at flea markets, and makes the best tarte tatin you have ever tasted.

The Groom

James Monroe

A cardiologist at the Hôpital Saint-Louis and a man who still keeps a record player on his nightstand, James brings steadiness and laughter in equal measure. He grew up in Edinburgh, moved to Paris for a research fellowship, and never left — partly for the medicine, mostly for the woman he met at a gallery opening while reaching for the same glass of Burgundy.
